Hey there friends!

First of all, I just wanted to give a huge ~*THANK YOU*~ for all of your patience and support! πŸ’šπŸ™πŸΌ I know this update is a little later than I had planned, but I want to be fully transparent and let everyone know what's been going on behind the scenes. Let's get into this update~

πŸ“¦ The delay grading pins:
Shortly after my last update, the pins finally arrived which was great news. But around the same time, my mom had to have emergency heart surgery so I wasn't able to grade the pins right away because I was at the hospital a lot. After she finally recovered and came back home, I had to vend at several conventions & outdoor festivals that kept me on the road for a few weeks (and out of cellphone service at the outdoor shows 😩). I've also been going through some personal life problems during all this, so it's been *A LOT* going on in the background. But I promise I have everything lined up for shipping ASAP!! πŸ™πŸΌΒ 

This is basically me trying to do campaign work:




πŸͺ² The great news: the pins look amazing in person!

These arrived around the same time my mom was almost discharged from the hospital, so I haven't had much time to fully grade them all. But I'm so happy with how they look, check it out!! :)



πŸͺ² Egyptian Scarab Beetle Update~

There's one small change with the Egyptian Scarab Beetle pin~ When the original batch arrived, I wasn't really happy with how the black nickel plating looked against the darker body colors. So I asked my manufacturer if we could remake them in dyed black metal instead. Thankfully they were able to rush a new batch for me and these just arrived this past weekend!Β

I think the dyed black version looks so much better!! I'm so glad I made this change before shipping these out to everyone πŸ’–

I'll be turning the old black nickel "B-grade" pins into something really special soon 😻✨ Here's a sneak peak at some custom pins I've been experimenting with~ Posca markers and mica powder <3 




πŸ“¦ Shipping Update~

I went ahead and locked down addresses today with a 2 day notice to make any changes! If you need to update your shipping address, you'll get an email soon to confirm those details~

While I started grading these insect pins, I've also been organizing & grading rewards across the other campaigns that are all reaching the shipping phase together at the same time. I'm basically setting up one huge super efficient packing station for everything so I can just knock out shipping all at once. I'm hoping to get the first batch out by next week!! πŸ™πŸΌ

This will basically be me here below lol



➑️ If you also ordered something from the Muerte & Magic campaign, those pins are almost done!! By the time I ship out the insect pins, those should arrive and I can finish the last batch of orders who combined shipping between multiple campaigns ^_^

Running several campaigns back-to-back definitely wasn't a part of my original plan. When I was invited to participate in the Super League of Science event, I was super excited and honored for the opportunity and decided to squeeze this insect pin campaign into my schedule. Looking back now, I really underestimated how much it would overlap with my other planned projects and how quickly all of the campaign work would blend together πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

It's definitely been a learning experience, and one thing I've taken away from this is that I definitely won't be running back-to-back campaigns again. Moving forward, I want to make sure each project has the time and attention it deserves from start to finish and I'll be making that happen from here on out πŸ™πŸΌ My #1 priority now is getting everyone's orders packaged and shipped out ASAP!! ^_^Β

The survey I sent last week had a few bugs/errors that showed up after it sent out. I had to wait until after the weekend to hear back from BackerKit support, but we fixed the problem together this week and everything should be running smoothly now! πŸŽ‰

This shipping section only applies to those who who backed both Pin Quest: Myths of the Underworld + Pinned & Preserved campaigns:

➑️ International backers:
After doing some research about combining two separate international orders into one package, I found that this isn’t the best option for shipping. Combining the value on customs forms can cause some major delays, extra fees, or cause packages to get held up.

Worse case scenario, Customs can even destroy a package for incorrect documentation. Even if I gave a detailed list of both orders, combining separate orders creates a single higher-value shipment that causes a bunch of issues. So because of this, I can't offer combined shipping for international orders outside the United States. I know this is disappointing, but I don’t want to risk any of your packages getting stuck at Customs or even worse, destroyed πŸ₯ΊπŸ™πŸΌ

➑️ U.S. backers:
Basically everyone answered that they wanted the combined shipping, so the survey should now reflect the added shipping credit~Β

Hello everyone! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! I hope you are all staying safe, warm, and having a great time as we start off 2026~ πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸΌ

I wanted to share an update on where things are at and why there has been a slight delay in surveys going out. I also have pics of the new and highly anticipated Orchid Mantis, Madagascan Sunset Moth, and Scarlet-Bodied Wasp Moth designs! Let's start the update~


πŸ“ Surveys coming in the next few days!

At the moment, I am waiting on the Backerkit Team to return from their Winter Holiday Break so they can approve my surveys and release them to you all 😊 The team has been out of office since Christmas Eve and will be returning on January 5th. As soon as they are back and approvals are completed, surveys will be sent out ASAP so I can get the final counts over to my manufacturer to start production ^_^


πŸ™πŸΌ The reason for the delay (if you didn't see the previous updates)

Long story short, the delay came from running Pin Quest, Pinned & Preserved, and Pintober campaigns back-to-back with very little downtime in between campaigns. On top of overlapping campaigns, I was also dealing with several unexpected family emergencies that made it difficult to keep everything moving on the original timeline I had planned.

➑️ Back to back campaigns:
While running Pin Quest, an artist a part of the upcoming League of Science pin event asked me to join and asked if I could do more insect pins like in my Rebirth & Ruin campaign. I happily agreed and was honored to be invited to the group and started working on some new designs. However, I didn't fully anticipate how tight the schedule would be in between setting up & running multiple back-to-back campaigns, cleaning up lineart, and preparing artwork for the next event. I originally planned to have more time between Pin Quest and Pintober to clean up/vectorize the artwork, but with the added insect pin campaign I had to put a pause on cleaning up the designs in order to run the events on time.

➑️ Family emergencies:
During the middle of running Pinned & Preserved, my mom was hospitalized due to a severe spider bite infection that required multiple surgeries to clear out of her system. Thankfully she made a full recovery πŸ₯ΉπŸ™πŸΌ Shortly after this, there was a cancer scare that required more testing back at the hospital, but thankfully that all came back negative. After this happened, my closest grandma passed away which was a very difficult loss to deal with on top of everything.

Once things settled down, I jumped immediately back into my work cleaning up the Pin Quest lineart for my manufacturer. I also finished the last insect pin designs for the survey, and started preparing for Pintober. Balancing campaign work in between these 2 family emergencies caused some delays getting the surveys out, and for that I am truly sorry. I'm doing everything in my power to get everything rolling out, and I'm really excited to announce all the new things happening~

πŸ’ͺ🏼 The great news is that I am finally at the point where art/surveys have been finished and production is ready to start on these pins as soon as all survey counts are finalized! πŸ™πŸΌ This part is easy because I just count everything up, send it over to my manufacturer and just wait for them to be made~
